" As long as our minds are controlled by emotions, the art we create will be the expression of these emotions. When our mind is influenced by bodhicitta, the art we create will be the expression of bodhicitta."
Gendun Rinpoche

The decoration of the Karmapa's
temple
, which has been underway now for several years, requires the development of a project combining the Dharma with visual expression.

In order to create an authentic spiritual art form which corresponds to the integration of the Buddha's teachings in the West, we must draw on the tradition's original sources. The motivating force behind this project is the need for visual practice supports.

For an authentic transmission of traditional art it is necessary to go back to the origins and ensure that art's special living quality is preserved.

The project's role and history
For several years, Shamar Rinpoche has expressed the wish that Dharma art be established in the west with its direct source in the Karma Gadri school.
